Facilities and Activities

Swimming

Swimming is available in Long Island Sound or in the Olympic size pool.  Shenorock boasts one of the finest beaches anywhere on the Sound.  Our pool, opened in 1973, features separate diving, swimming and wading areas.  A separate "kiddy pool" is adjacent to the main pool.  Shenorock has a swim team which competes with numerous local clubs in the Westchester County Swimming Conference. A completely new swimming pool facility is scheduled to open in 2018.

Tennis

Nine well-maintained Har-Tru courts provide outstanding tennis facilities.  Teaching pros oversee an active, well-organized program with lessons and clinics available for men, women and children.  Shenorock fields junior, women's and men's teams in area competition in addition to informal play, tennis events and an active Club tournament schedule.  The Club offers Junior Clinics for all levels during the summer and juniors compete in the MITL.

Dining Rooms

Shenorock's Harborside and Summerside Clubhouses offer the unsurpassed cuisine of our outstanding executive chef.  Facilities are available for private functions year round.

Bouwerie Grill

A covered pavilion adjacent to the pool and picnic area offers informal fare seven days per week during the summer months.

Picknicking

The shaded Bouwerie area between the beach and pool features barbecue grills, picnic tables, deck chairs and shuffleboard for a perfect picnic setting.  Lights in the trees allow members to linger in the evening.  Picnicking is permitted at the Bouwerie, picnic point near the pier, and at cabanas. 

Platform Tennis

Three lighted courts and a lounge facility are provided for platform tennis during the winter months.  Courts may be reserved for private "Paddle Parties", a winter tradition at Shenorock.

Summer Day Camp

The Club has a pre-camp, day camp and a sports camp for member children from three year olds to activities for pre-teens. Our program includes sports, games, tennis and swimming and is topped off with the Day Camp Show.

Boating

Harbor docking facilities for boats up to 35' in length are available to Shenorock members.  A limited number of Club moorings are also available to accommodate larger boats.  Kayaking and paddle boarding are widely enjoyed by the members.

Golf

The Club has a reciprocal relationship with The Saint Andrew's Golf Club in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, which allows Shenorock members to play golf at specified times.

Sporting Clays

Using eco-friendly ammunition & clays to protect the Long Island Sound ecology, our program runs winter Saturdays until the end of March.
